EDUCATION AND LIVING IN THE WORLD

WHAT WE OWE YOUNG PEOPLE

A DISCUSSION CO-SPONSORED BY PLATO

Join us for a public philosophy discussion about education and what we owe young people. We'll read an excerpt from Hannah Arendt's "The Crisis in Education" alongside Toni Morrison's picture book The Big Box to examine fundamental questions about education's purposes and what it means for adults to introduce young people to a shared world.

This event is open to the general public. Anyone under 18 is to be accompanied by an adult. RSVP is required. Registered participants will receive a pdf of the reading.
