IAT Reading Group: Selected Works by Emmanuel Levinas

How do we recognize the dignity of another person? Join IAT Fellows Weijun Huang and Lucas Xie, students from the Department of Rhetoric, in reading selected works by Emmanuel Levinas, as we explore the encounter with the Other and the challenge of not reducing a human person to an object.

Beginning Monday, October 26, Weijun and Lucas will lead four weeks of cross-disciplinary discussion connecting Levinas’s writing to our semester theme, Human Dignity. Register and snag a free collection of Levinas’s work here.
